◐ Derived total / official daily counts — inspect provenance

Year-to-date totals sum dated Home Office observations from 1 January. The weekly time series supplies the historical record; the daily publication supplies its latest seven days. Revisions replace earlier values without adding overlapping dates. A blank or missing count is pending, never zero. These provisional operational figures may be revised; they are separate from quarterly asylum-support counts.

Daily publication updated 2 November 2026.

Last source check: 2 November 2026, 18:18 GMT. Automatically checked against the Home Office publication.

Sources and limits of this record

The Home Office publishes a rolling seven-day table daily and a time series from 1 January 2018, normally updated on Fridays. The Cartulary checks these free official sources hourly when WordPress cron runs and rechecks the weekly file for revisions. Dates and counts are validated before a new snapshot replaces the saved record.

People who arrive undetected, are prevented from leaving France, or arrive via other routes are outside this measure. Operational counts are provisional and may decrease after revision. An explicit source zero is shown as zero; an unpublished or missing value is pending and prevents a complete period total.

Counts cannot establish why a rescue vessel launched, its instructions, coordination with another vessel or the legality of any action. Those questions require separate records. No live vessel positions are presented here.
