Victim-support funding allocations disclosed by the MoJ

Four funding components across 13 financial years; current and future allocations remain distinct from spending.

What was disclosed

The Ministry of Justice supplied a workbook of direct RASASF and predecessor funding, devolved commissioning-test allocations, ring-fenced PCC grants, and national remote support services. The combined allocation for 2025/26 is £86,646,942.31. The workbook also contains allocations for 2026/27 and 2027/28.

What the totals mean

These are nominal funding allocations, not expenditure or inflation-adjusted amounts. Several PCC grants cover both domestic abuse and sexual violence, which the MoJ cannot split. Core PCC funding is excluded. The set of schemes changes over time, so growth in the combined total does not directly measure a like-for-like increase in services.

Reconciliation

All 13 combined yearly totals reconcile with the four component totals to within 2p after rounding source values to pence. The 2020/21 PCC area rows sum to £13,624,940.60; the workbook’s published PCC total is £13,622,405.30, a £2,535.30 difference. Other years reconcile within 1p. Charts preserve published totals and disclose this difference.
